ELIGIBILITY: Only original work (not copies or kits) of living artists from northwest Florida, completed within the last four years, and not a previous ADSO cash winner, is eligible. Sculptures in all media (e.g. clay, wood, glass); graphics, photography and digital art; drawings and paintings in all media textiles (quilts, weaving, etc.); and hand-painted china are all acceptable.

Works to be hung must be suitably framed, securely wired and ready for hanging--WORK WILL NOT BE HUNG IF WIRE NOT SECURE. Works, other than textiles, larger than 46" in either direction will be treated and charged as two entries. Sturdy picture wire must be used, with eye screws placed 1/4 the length from the top of the work at the hanging point. NO SAWTOOTH OR CENTER HANGERS. Works by youth need not be framed, but matted or suitably mounted.

Oils and acrylics must be framed (gallery wrap permitted). Wet paint will not be accepted. Water media should be matted and framed under glass or Plexiglas. Sculptures must be completed assembled, ready for display. All works, including relief’s and sculptures, must be able to be moved by one person and may not exceed 40 lbs. in weight. NO INSTALLATIONS ALLOWED.

ENTRY FEES: Adults (18 and over), $5/item; youth (11-17), $1/item. Artist may enter up to five (5) pieces of artwork. Make checks payable to ADSO, and submit entry fee with artwork and completed forms at the fairgrounds on entry day. Back to the Top

RECEIVING AND PICKUP: Entries will be received and checked by the entry committee on Wednesday, October 19, from 8:00am to noon, at the Fine Arts Exhibit area, Northwest Florida Fairgrounds, Lewis Turner Blvd., Fort Walton Beach. All work must be picked up between 9:00am and noon, Sunday October 30. After noon, the exhibit area will be unattended. Neither ADSO nor the Northwest Florida Fair will be responsible for unclaimed works.

NOTICE TO ENTRANTS: ADSO reserves the right to refuse any work not considered suitable. The Northwest Florida Fair Arts Show is intended to present works considered to be fine art in a family-oriented venue. Work deemed unsuitable will not be accepted. All work, including work sold during the Fair, must remain on display until the night the Fair closes. A 10% commission will be charged for works sold. The artist is responsible for sales tax on any sales. Artists removing their work before closing time will not be permitted to enter any ADSO art shows for the next 5 years. Back to the Top

LIABILITY: All responsible care will be taken in handling and displaying works entered, and security will be provided through noon Sunday, October 30. The Northwest Florida Fair and ADSO will not be liable for any claim, loss or damage. Each artist's signature on the entry form constitutes acceptance of all stated conditions.

SHOW SITTING: Each exhibiting local artist will be asked to sit for a two-hour period during the nine-day show. Instructions for entry will be given to sitters for free admission to the fair during their assigned times. Back to the Top
